The April 2018 forum that took place this past Monday, April 9th was very informative. The topic discussed was the Twin Transit countywide expansion and Derrick Wojcik-Damers, General Manager of Twin Transit, was there to give an in-depth presentation to the community about the benefits of the expansion.
The expansion, if approved, would provide transportation services to the areas outside of Centralia and Chehalis with no change to the current schedule in place. Twin Transit mentions that the areas outside of Centralia and Chehalis would include bus service to Tumwater, Toledo and Vader, as well as a route to Winlock. Occasional service to Kelso and dial-a-ride access to Pe Ell and Doty are part of the expansion plan as well. This expansion would also be in addition to taking on the East Lewis County routes that will cease service when current provider Lewis Mountain Highway Transit shuts down in 2019.
