Today’s ribbon cutting for Cascade Mental Health marks a giant step forward for our community. The new 22-bed Evaluation Center located in the Port of Centralia is the only one of it’s kind in the Lewis County area and is set to open March 2018. Cascade Mental Health has been operating for 50+ years and currently employs approximately 128 employees. The new evaluation center is projected to bring that number up to approximately 170 employees and as mentioned in yesterday’s speech, it offers the next generation of Lewis County youth more career options. The efforts that went into bringing the new Cascade Mental Health Evaluation Center to life are much appreciated as shown by the turnout. The center will offer 16 long-term care rooms as well as 6 short-term crisis stabilization rooms. Those in attendance were able to tour the new facility and get a feel for the care that will be provided as well as how the new center will operate. Thank you to those of you who made it out to the ribbon cutting!
