Stationary Escape Room Dinner Trains Chehalis Centralia Railroad & Museum

In response to popular demand, the Chehalis Centralia Railroad has adapted to the current situation by offering summer events “On the Train….At the Depot.”  Five days this summer

the Railroad will host an Escape Room activity playing upon the unique situation we are in with a track that is in repair. According to our local Escape Room artist, the passengers will be given clues to help stop the fictitious “runaway train” on this irregular railway operation. This interactive adventure will give all passengers a role in the investigation. Like all of us have learned over the past two years, our Railroad has had to temporarily pivot for fundraising events. The static, non-moving event will be held at 2pm for $40 without dinner and 5pm for $65 with a 3 course dinner served for the passengers. Dates are July 16 and 30, August 27, September 10, and October 8.  Tickets are on sale now at SteamTrainRide.com.  Seating is limited to 52 passengers on each train. Tables of four passengers will work together to help get the engineer “back on track.”

Following the Escape Room events, a Wizard Express is planned for October 1 and 2, and the Pumpkin Train on October 15/16 and 22/23

WSECU New Branch Development Update

Work is moving quickly on WSECU’s new 4,500 sf branch, going up at 1725 NW Louisiana in front of Home Depot. The northwest-inspired design will feature tall ceilings, an exposed wood deck and large windows to bring in natural light. Members will enjoy two drive-thru lanes and both a walk-up and drive-up ATM. Branch Manager Stephanie Rhodes said members are getting excited about the new location, which is slated to open in early August. The branch will also offer safe deposit boxes, a new service for area members. WSECU has had a long presence in Lewis County, helping members with their financial well-being and supporting the greater community since 1984. Membership is open to anyone in Washington. Stay tuned for a ribbon cutting later this year.
