Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel

Venues, Catering, Hotel, and Entertainment

There are few places that offer as much in one location as Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel does. They operate a wide assortment of venues and are known for excellent catering services and well-appointed hotel rooms and suites.

Lucky Eagle is owned and operated by the Chehalis Tribe. They opened in June 1995 and will be celebrating their thirty-year anniversary in 2025. The hotel and casino employ about 500 people and recently earned Best of South Sound and Best of Lewis County for 2023.

Lucky Eagle has been a great supporter of Centralia- Chehalis Chamber of Commerce as a Platinum Sponsor and providing in-kind donations for its fundraisers and annual Chamber luncheon. Beyond that, Lucky Eagle demonstrates its commitment to the community by supporting many activities and Chambers throughout the region. Currently, they hold memberships to twelve Chambers including Thurston, Tacoma, Yelm, and Tenino. Rodney Youckton, Chief Community Relations Officer, has personal relationships with many of these chambers and noted that Lucky Eagle has often hosted forums and business after hours events.

Lucky Eagle can accommodate intimate groups of 15 to banquets seating 250, or concerts that can seat 700. In addition to multiple spaces, Lucky Eagle also offers in-house catering services. “We even have our own pastry chef,” noted CEO JaNessa Bumgarner. For weddings, this makes Lucky Eagle a one-stop location that can meet the needs of any couple from rehearsal dinners to the wedding cake, vows to dance hall, and bridal suite to overnight rooms. In addition, Lucky Eagle is a highly rated casino giving guests many entertainment options.

Bumgarner and Youckton recently led Chamber staff on a private tour of their facility.

The tour began inside the Event Center, which holds up to 700 theatre-style and up to 250 with banquet style rounds. The room offers great flexibility for hosting concerts and other public events or more formal dinners, weddings, or seminars. There is a stage, sound, and light system.

Youckton noted the popularity of their newest space: The Legends Sports Bar that opened last July. The capacity is 55 and features a self-service beer tap offering up to 15 different beers including popular brands. “Legends was a popular spot for fantasy leagues this year,” added Bumgarner.

Nearby is the Steak House – which can host up to 60 guests and is great for cocktails and small buffets or as an overflow room for Legends Sports Bar.

The Sky Room at Lucky Eagle is located at the top level of the hotel and has its own dining area and restrooms. This is a wonderful option for private parties, board meetings, or training events of 15 – 30.

While larger groups and events should plan a year ahead for booking, the smaller event spaces should book at least six months out. However, Bumgarner encourages anyone planning an event to call, even on shorter notice. “We may be able to work someone in based on their needs or unexpected cancellations.”
