When McFiler’s Chehalis Theater co-owner Tim Filer sat down for an interview with the Chamber the week before Thanksgiving, the restaurant was already looking at a busy holiday season.

For catering, Filer said, “Basically every weekend day is booked up through December, and that started in early November.”

In-house and satellite catering for most weekdays in December was still available in mid-November, but Filer advised people looking to book a catering spot to reach out five to six weeks in advance.

“It just makes it easier for us to know what’s happening in the calendar and to be able to block out days for reservations, because we still are a fine dining restaurant Thursday, Friday and Saturday night,” Filer said.

In addition to weekend fine dining, McFiler’s Chehalis Theater provides a more-casual drinks and small plates menu every Wednesday night from 4-10 p.m.

“We do really nice craft cocktails and our small plates menu that whole night,” Filer said.

While McFiler’s Chehalis Theater is mostly taking a break from movie nights through November and December, the venue’s popular movie nights will resume after the holiday season.

“We would love to get more people involved in sponsoring movies,” Filer said.

A movie sponsorship costs $400 and comes with 100 tickets to the movie, the sponsor’s name on the marquee, and the sponsor’s name on any copy McFiler’s Chehalis Theater makes to promote the movie night such as print or radio ads and social media posts.

McFiler’s Chehalis Theater is located at 558 N. Market Blvd. in Chehalis.
