Centralia Point Assisted Living and Memory Care

Here at Centralia Point, we value and advocate for senior independence. We strive for our residents to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. Centralia Point is an intentional space.  It is something you can see, feel, and hear.  Our rooms are designed to maximize comfort, safety, and easy navigation. We provide Assisted Living services and Memory Care services, with experience and understanding.

Assisted Living residents have ample opportunities to socialize, adventure and play! Our Life Enrichment program is built around our residents’ passions and interests. We also treasure our chefs who prepare three meals in house, every day. Both the Activity Room and Dining Rooms are expansive in size and tastefully furnished.  Our specialized Memory Care program keeps residents stimulated and engaged at the individual level; we don’t take an umbrella approach to dementia care. The experience is unique to every individual. Consistency in everyday interactions and meaningful connections make a real difference in the lives of those with memory loss. Our community offers opportunities to connect with peers and health care professionals with ease. Staff knows each resident by name. Residents build friendships with one another. The team at Centralia Point provides a loving, nurturing, and safe environment where all residents are treated with dignity and respect. Centralia Point is more than just a beautiful building, it’s a place to proudly call home.

The Evergreen Playhouse

The Evergreen Playhouse is pleased to announce our February performances of The Diary of Anne Frank February 3 -19 2023.Bring  this article when you come to the concessions area, and you will receive a free non alcoholic drink and small popcorn for free !!

In this transcendently powerful new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, Anne Frank emerges from history a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl, who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her time with astonishing honesty, wit, and determination. An impassioned drama about the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence—their fear, their hope, their laughter, their grief. Each day of these two dark years, Anne’s voice shines through: “When I write I shake off all my cares. But I want to achieve more than that. I want to be useful and bring enjoyment to all people, even those I’ve never met. I want to go on living even after my death!” This is a new adaptation for a new generation.

Performance dates are Friday/Saturday nights, Sunday matinee and Thursday February 9th is our Pay-What-You-Can performance- no ticket purchase required.

Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for seniors and students, and may be purchased at www.evergreenplayhouse.com. Don’t forget to check out our volunteering opportunities. The balance of the season we will be performing Lend me a Tenor and Tuck Everlasting.

Health & Hope Medical Outreach

Health & Hope Medical Outreach is a free medical clinic open every Tuesday from 5:30pm to 8pm at the Northwest Pediatrics Building in Centralia.

In addition to our regular medical clinic services we’d like to invite all community members to join us for a special month-long event focused on spiritual care. Each Tuesday in February “Prayer Care” providers will be available at NW Pediatrics Building C for any and all prayer needs! Whether you need prayer for healing, or for hope during uncertain times, we want to be here for you. Maybe you have a friend or family member who needs extra prayers. All are welcome. Although this special prayer clinic is not mental health care, resources can be found at our medical clinic next door in building B. Please come and let us pray for you!

Historic Fox Theatre Restorations

Historic Fox Theatre Restorations is excited to have a strong Board of Directors who are working behind the scenes to reassess the full scope of what still needs to be accomplished on the restoration, and more importantly how much each item will cost. As you may imagine, we are in a much different environment than we were three years ago when we completed the comprehensive restoration plans for the theatre. The challenges presented by the pandemic and soaring construction costs led us to this reevaluation of our needs. It is difficult to return to planning when we all just want to be swinging hammers, but this important work will pay off greatly for the project.

With $500,000 in ARPA funding appropriated by the County (Covid-19 relief funds), an upcoming Heritage Grant from the State, progress on Historic Tax Credits, and other funding sources, the theatre project will soon be back on track and restoration work will resume! There is still a lot of work to be done to secure all the needed funding to complete our project, but we are so encouraged with our positive progress.
