After three generations of roofing experience, the Slater family might be the most knowledgeable when it comes to roofing. Ken Slater Sr. founded The Roof Doctor and opened its first location in Olympia in 1959. Ken Jr. began working with his Dad at the age of 10, joined the family business at age 19, and has been leading the company for more than 40 years now. His sisters, Tara Monohan and Briana Slater, help run the company and Ken’s son, Shea, is an estimator making the business very much a family endeavor. Gail, the office manager, might as well be a part of the family having worked with Ken Jr. for 40 years.

The Chehalis Roof Doctor location opened in the late 1970s. They now have a total of six locations in Olympia, Chehalis, Tacoma, Shelton, Hoquiam and Longview. What really sets the Roof Doctor apart from the competition is the longevity and experience the team demonstrates. Customer service is the key standard, and management shepards the crew to each job and makes sure there is a manager on the job site to ensure top quality work. “If customers aren’t satisfied, then we aren’t done!,” explained Ken Jr.

As a long-standing Chamber member, the Roof Doctor works with USDA loans, payment plans and will give you the most cost-effective roof. “ We are grateful to be in business for such a long time- Lewis County is the best. I love all my customers. I’d rather be in Lewis County than anywhere else,” Slater states. You can find The Roof Doctor participating in the 57th Annual Home Show on April 14 and 15 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds. The Roof Doctor is located at 1522 Bishop Rd. in Chehalis.
