Ferrellgas got its start in Chehalis more than 40 years ago by acquiring the Buckeye Gas Products Company and CalGas locations in the area (among many others as well). Matt Sayers has been an account manager with Ferrellgas for more than 22 years. Sayers explained that their customers come from all aspects of life: Residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural. Their services span from home, business, forklift cylinders to propane delivery. “We strive to keep our business local and we love giving back to the community.” stated Sayers. Ferrellgas has donated propane and barbecues to local schools and businesses in the area.

Propane fuels more than just heating homes and cooking. For example, Washington is the largest producer of mint in the country. Mint farmers use propane to dry their crops. Vineyards also use propane for frost prevention. Almost half of the propane industry consumption is used to make plastic along with many other industrial uses. In 2021, 3.2% of homes in Washington state used propane as their primary energy source, while the United States average was 5%.

Ferrellgas has been a chamber member for more than a decade and is participating in the 57th Annual Home Show on April 14 and 15. They will be present to answer your questions about the benefits of propane heat and if it is a good fit for your home or business. A 500 gallon underground propane tank will be on display at the show as well. Ferrellgas is located at 2811 Jackson Hwy in Chehalis. Find out more at www.ferrellgas.com.
