About Dan The Artist
Dan Goddard began studying ceramic arts in the early 70’s while living in Helena, Montana home of the Archie Bray Foundation. Under the shadow of the Bray he was heavily influenced by ceramic artists such as Ken Ferguson, David Shaner, and Dave Cornell.
Dan is an accomplished potter and ceramicist and the founding director of Martha School of Pottery, The School of Pottery, and Creator’s Heart.This is the place you can purchase Dan’s work and enjoy his gallery of work.Thanks for visiting and be very blessed.
ClayFest
This is the first annual CLAY FEST, a day of outdoor wheel throwing, hand building, and clay sculpting. Come enjoy the arts. Featuring the work of local potters and clay artists, Clay Fest offers the opportunity to view and purchase a wide variety of pottery, from traditional to sculpture by local clay artists. Come out and enjoy the beauty of what Washington clay artists have to offer!
ClayFest features potter’s wheel and hand building demonstrations by regional clay artists including Dan Goddard, a veteran ceramic artist, potter, sculptor, and also the new pastor at the Open Bible Church. The event is also celebrating the renaming the church to “The Potter’s House.”
ClayFest also launches the Free Potter’s Wheel/Clay Classes for the community as an arts community outreach. The signup will be at the Clay Fest. THey are retrofitting the church shop as the clay shop to include seven potter’s wheels, a large electric kiln, slab roller, and lots of clay tools and equipment that will be a part of this arts community outreach primarily funded by donations. The first lesson is entirely free after that students will be responsible for paying for clay, firing, and glaze.
