While the housing market may be normalizing, home sales in Lewis County continue closing at a steady rate. The Paula Burrows Team at eXp Realty recently secured $2.2 million in contracts. Real estate can be both a lucrative and fulfilling career as it has been for Paula Burrows. She began her real estate career in 2007 and in 2019 she launched The Paula Burrows Team in hopes of helping others learn more about the industry. When she aligned her team with eXp Realty in 2021, she was excited about the opportunities available with the first-ever cloud-based brokerage in the world. Burrows is the managing broker for her team of agents which currently consists of 8 brokers and four administrative support staff. Burrows and her team have a passion for assisting both entry-level and high-end prospects in finding their ideal home as buyers and ensuring sellers successfully sell their homes.

Burrow’s real passion, however, is mentoring and encouraging careers in the real estate industry. “Real estate is a great avenue to build financial wealth and can be a rewarding career,” explained Burrows. “I love providing guidance and training for others interested in real estate.” To succeed, though, she adds that it is a job people must feel excited about. It is a great career for those that need flexible hours, “But agents still must be available,” she cautioned, so hours worked may often be in the evening and on weekends.

When asked if now is a good time to consider a career in selling homes, she said with confidence, “Anytime is a good time to get into real estate.” Burrows should know. She began her career at a time when the real estate market tumbled, enjoyed affluent years as recovery gained momentum, and launched her team just prior to the pandemic, so she has experienced real estate at its best and at its worst.
